About

The popularity of cryptocurrencies reached an all-time high in 2021. This year, digital assets continue their march from the fringes of the retail space into the portfolios of more traditional institutional investors. As access points open up, financial advisors need to step up their understanding of what these digital assets are and how they impact their practice and clients’ assets. Join us in the first webinar of our four-part series with Barron’s and Grayscale.

** Attendees of this 50-minute live webinar are eligible for 1 CE credit hour towards CFP or CIMA certifications. **

This is a custom event created by Barron’s Custom Studio, a commercial department at Barron’s. The Barron’s newsroom was not involved in the production of this event.

The Changing Threat Landscape

The cyber threat landscape is constantly changing as the never-ending game of cat-and-mouse between attackers and security teams continues. What can security leaders expect in 2022 as ransomware attacks continue to proliferate, APT crews continue to innovate and our increasingly hybrid cloud and hybrid work world expands the attack surface?

The Winning Hand for Cyber Security: Zero Trust, XDR and Securing the Cloud

Zero trust emerged as the security strategy of choice to protect governments and enterprises from relentless attacks in a period of accelerated digital transformation. Now, security teams are adding extended detection and response - or “XDR” - to their strategies and applying both zero trust and XDR to secure their ever-growing hybrid cloud estates. Are these new approaches the winning hand for security teams?

Chas Heng, CISO, Altria

Koos Lodewijkx, CISO, IBM

Ariel Weintraub, CISO, MassMutual

Securing the Software Supply Chain

The Log4j vulnerability exposed many holes in the software supply chain – the building block code that underlies so many digital services –and has risen to the top of the priority list for governments, enterprises and CISOs alike, with the Biden administration convening a summit to address the issue. In this public-private sector session, we’ll discuss software security and IBM and Google’s joint call to technology organizations to identify critical open source software initiatives in need of improved security practices.

Dr. Allan Friedman, Senior Advisor and Strategist, Cyber Infrastructure and Security Agency (CISA), Department of Homeland Security

John Hendley, Head of Global Strategy, X-Force, IBM

In this session, we’ll discuss successful leadership strategies to improve cyber resiliency. Who must be involved, aligned and ready to act? And what can leaders learn from their peers who have managed their organizations through cyber crises?

Deep Dives: Breaking Down the Winning Hand for Cyber Resiliency

Threat Management

The threat landscape has continued to grow in complexity and frequency, making it essential to stay ahead of the attackers with a comprehensive solution that provides deeper visibility across your endpoint, network, cloud, and applications while integrating with your existing tools. Listen to our experts talk about how enterprises have used the latest advancements in XDR technology for their benefit.

Facilitated by:
Dr. Sridhar Muppidi, IBM Fellow and Chief Technology Officer, IBM Security Systems
Chris Meenan, VP, IBM Security Product Management

Zero Trust

Probably one of the most used phrases in Security, it has as many definitions as vendors out there. While there are multiple on-ramps, a successful Zero Trust architecture requires a change in enterprise thinking, with technology being one of the last items on this journey. In this session, our Zero Trust experts will share their insights from the hundreds of planning workshops they have done with enterprises on this topic.

Facilitated by:
Jason Keenaghan, Director of Product Management, Zero Trust Strategy Leader, IBM Security

Risk Management

Enhancements to regulations, tools, and processes have increased the visibility enterprises have into the impact of security practices across their business. That still may not be enough. As security becomes a boardroom discussion, will quantifying the risk posed by its entire ecosystem force enterprises and their partners to adopt a better security posture? Hear what our experts have to say about how you can effectively manage your security risk without disrupting your vital business functions.

Facilitated by:
Julian Meyrick, Managing Partner & Vice President, Security Strategy Risk & Compliance, IBM
Randy Spusta, Global Leader, Security Strategy Risk & Compliance, IBM
